This Is Why AI Techno Doesn’t Hit Yet | But my 909 does!!!

AI made the beat, but something was missing. In this video (This Is Why AI Techno Doesn’t Hit Yet) I take an AI generated techno idea and bring it into the analog world, with real machines, real timing, real decisions, and hands on the controls. Not because AI is useless, it is actually scary good at giving you ideas fast. But techno is not just a kick, a bassline, and a dark mood. Techno is pressure, repetition, timing, tension, risk, and knowing when not to change the pattern. So the question is simple. Can AI actually make techno, or can it only copy the ingredients? Let me know what you think in the comments, because I think this is where the conversation gets interesting. #AIMusic #Techno #MusicProduction #AnalogGear #Dawless #HardwareJam #ElectronicMusic #Synthesizer #MusicProducer #AIvsHuman #Groove #AnalogKitchen

BURN Studio Signs Rising Director Matheo Fernandes Following Shots and Ciclope Honors

BURN Studio welcomes Brazilian director Matheo Fernandes to its roster, marking the filmmaker’s first representation in the U.S. market. Matheo has quickly emerged as a distinctive new voice working across fashion, commercials and narrative filmmaking, earning New Talent in Direction at Ciclope Latino and a Bronze as New Director of the Year at the Shots Awards and, most recently, a 2026 Young Director Award shortlist at Cannes for his film “PROLOGUE.”

“What drew me to BURN was their belief in building things with intention rather than urgency,” shares Matheo. “In a moment when everyone seems obsessed with scale and constant visibility, they understand that less can often mean more. You can feel that mindset in everything, from their carefully curated roster to the genuinely human way they approach relationships.”

“I’m someone who tends to think carefully about every decision, not only the next step, but the ones that follow,” adds Matheo. “Finding a team that approaches careers with the same long-term perspective felt like a natural fit. The U.S. market represents a new chapter in my career; one I’m approaching with curiosity and a great sense of momentum.”

Raised in the countryside of São Paulo state, professionally shaped in Brazil’s commercial production industry and now based in Paris, Matheo brings a perspective that moves naturally between local specificity and global relevance. He began taking photographs at fourteen before later pursuing anthropology, where he explored the ways communities communicate through food, ritual and everyday life. That experience continues to shape his approach to filmmaking today, helping him uncover the cultural and emotional insights that connect brands with audiences in meaningful ways.

Prior to directing, Matheo spent years working as a creative assistant with production companies including Iconoclast, Landia and Rebolucion, developing a deep understanding of the creative and production demands of commercial filmmaking.

Blending a documentary approach with a strong visual point of view, Matheo creates films that feel intimate and emotionally grounded. Drawing from Latin American, European and contemporary global influences, his work translates complex cultural and emotional realities into visually sophisticated stories rooted in observation, culture and human connection.

His films have earned recognition from Ciclope, the Clio Awards, Shots, Berlin Commercial, the Berlin Fashion Film Festival, Director’s Library and the FilmLight Colour Awards (EnergaCAMERIMAGE), among others. Recent projects, including “PROLOGUE,” “MIRAGE” and “ANTRÓPICO,” showcase the distinctive visual and emotional sensibility that has defined his work to date.

For BURN, the signing reflects the studio’s ongoing commitment to identifying and supporting emerging filmmakers with distinctive creative voices.

“Matheo embodies the kind of director we patiently look for,” shares Brad, Managing Director and Executive Producer at BURN Studio. “He has a strong sense of self and a creative POV paired with excellent taste. He understands the importance of platforms as amplifiers of craft, and we’re excited to develop his voice even further within the U.S. market.”

“He’s someone I admire hugely, both as a filmmaker and as a person,” adds Greg Hardes, Founder & Director at BURN Studio. “With Matheo, every frame feels like a painting. I’m such a fan of his classic visual style, but it’s the humanity of his work that ultimately gives it such depth.”

K-beauty Brand Anua Expands KPop Demon Hunters Collaboration

Korean skincare brand Anua is launching a new global campaign as part of its ongoing collaboration with Netflix’s KPop Demon Hunters. Created by BBH Singapore, “Gonna Be Glowin” brings Anua’s gentle yet effective skincare into the high-energy world of the hit franchise, encouraging fans around the world to unleash their HUNTR/X and own their glow.

As part of the collaboration, Anua has created a limited-edition skincare collection featuring multiple sunscreen products and retail activations. Available globally, the collaboration brings the KPop Demon Hunters universe to life for consumers around the world.

The Anua x KPop Demon Hunters Partnership allows Anua to go beyond the conventional brand tie-in by connecting and celebrating the worldwide fandom of the Movie and the IP.

Aimed at engaging the KPop Demon Hunters fandom, the “Gonna Be Glowin” campaign kicks off with a high-energy K-pop inspired campaign video directed by SL8’s Kylie Kang, known for her K-pop MVs for SEVENTEEN, aespa, and more.

The campaign video builds on the success of the February 2026 collection launch, which introduced fans to five KPop Demon Hunters x Anua products: the Zero-Cast SPF, Matte SPF, Glow Stick SPF, Ultra-Thin Spot Cover Patch, and Honmoon Collagen Mask.

The campaign extends to fan participation on social, through creator partnerships and activations that bring the community together in celebration.

Rebecca Nadilo, Director of Marketing Partnerships Creative APAC at Netflix said “As two iconic Korean brands come together, we wanted to honour that with a campaign that felt true to Korean pop culture, and brought to life HUNTR/X glow energy on the inside, and Anua glow on the outside”.

Sascha Kuntze, Chief Creative Officer at BBH Singapore said: “Authenticity is key to Anua’s partnership with KPop Demon Hunters and we wanted the campaign to work as a piece of culture in its own right, so we created something especially for the fans. First, we partnered with K-pop’s most sought after MV director and wrapped countless Easter eggs into a film that begs to be watched over and over. And then we’re taking the lore to social activations. Just wait.”

The One Club for Creativity has announced the latest esteemed group of legends in advertising, design, and education to be named as 2026 inductees into the prestigious Creative Hall of Fame in September.

The Creative Hall of Fame has a rich heritage of honoring the lifetime achievements of creative luminaries, starting with the induction of Leo Burnett in 1961.

This year’s illustrious inductees, with links to their bios, are as follows.

Creative Hall of Fame

  • Rosie Arnold, one of the most awarded art directors in British advertising history, spent more than three decades shaping iconic work at BBH and championing creative excellence throughout the industry.
  • Janet Champ, Wieden+Kennedy copywriter behind Nike’s groundbreaking “If You Let Me Play” campaign, transformed how brands communicate with women through work rooted in truth, empathy, and cultural impact.

Educators Hall of Fame

  • Michael Conrad, former Global CCO at Leo Burnett Worldwide and co-founder of the Berlin School of Creative Leadership, helped shape generations of creative leaders while elevating standards across the global advertising industry.

The Creative Hall of Fame is known for the high levels of rigor and integrity of its selection process.  Nominations are open to One Club members, with the broad list of candidates voted on by the organization’s National and International Board, as well as past Creative Hall of Fame inductees.

A shortlist is determined by the selection committee, and nominators or an appointed advocate do a presentation to the Board in support of their candidate.  A final vote is cast by the Board to select the inductees.

Criteria for being considered is three-fold:

  • Impact — Those who have a celebrated body of work. This includes work that has been recognized as the best in the industry over multiple years for multiple brands, can be considered truly innovative and original in thinking and execution, and has an undeniable lasting impact.
  • Influence — Those who have used their creativity and leveraged their resources to advance the industry and serve the greater good.
  • Inspiration — Those who have had a measurable, positive effect on the next generation of creative leaders, and are known industry-wide as mentors, door-openers, and opportunity-creators.

“The people we honor this year didn’t just create iconic work—they changed the trajectory of our industry,” said Pum Lefebure, One Club chair and co-founder, CCO, Design Army in Washington DC.  “Their ideas reshaped culture, their leadership opened doors for others, and their impact continues to ripple across generations. We are proud to recognize these creative pioneers whose influence extends far beyond the work itself.”

This year’s Creative Hall of Fame black-tie gala induction ceremony will take place on September 16, 2026 at Capitale in New York.  Induction ceremony and ticket details, as well as bio information on this year’s inductees, are available here.

Since The One Club For Creativity is a 501c3 nonprofit organization, individual ticket purchases above $250 and table ticket purchases above $2,500 are considered a charitable donation.  Sponsorship options are available for those unable to attend the ceremony but wishing to support and celebrate the inductees.
