A Day On The Green will return for a six-date run in January 2025, taking to wineries and vineyards across regional Australia. The concert series will be headlined by The Teskey Brothers, who will be treating the run as a homecoming of sorts after spending the majority of 2024 touring overseas. The full line-up, as well as dates and ticketing information, can be accessed below.

“We are excited to be bringing the show home for this very special run,” said the band’s lead vocalist, Josh Teskey, in a press statement. “To make it a full day’s affair, it’s a huge thrill to be bringing together some of our favourite acts from around the world. Come join us for what will be a beautiful day.”

Joining the Teskeys for this run will be Seattle indie-rock outfit Band of Horses, touring Australia for the first time in eight-and-a-half years following their appearance at the 2016 edition of Splendour In The Grass. The band did, however, appear virtually at the 2021 Splendour XR festival. Nashville alt-country/Americana singer-songwriter Sierra Ferrell, too, will return as part of the festivities with her full band in tow. Ferrell was last in Australia on a headlining tour circa October 2022.

Band of Horses – ‘No-One’s Gonna Love You’

The Teskey Brothers released their third studio album, The Winding Way, in June 2023. Since its release, the band have toured extensively both locally and internationally. The Melbourne soul-rock duo also released a live EP, entitled The Circle Session, back in January. That same month, Band of Horses released their own live record, Acoustic at the Ryman, while Ferrell shared her fourth album Trail of Flowers in March.

Grace Cummings‘ third album, RAMONA, recorded with Jonathan Wilson (Father John Misty, Angel Olsen) at his Topanga Canyon studio, is a masterwork of emotion and theatricality. Released on April 5th, it received overwhelming critical acclaim, growing her international fanbase.

With upcoming appearances on Stephen Colbert’s ‘Show Me The Music’ and KEXP Live, Grace is set for extensive tours across the US, UK, and Europe. She’ll return to Australia in winter to warm hearts with RAMONA, live.

Secondhand Dreamcar is Edmonton’s newest contribution to the ongoing soul and funk revival that’s taking off across Canada. The band is a 9 piece supergroup of sorts, composed of some of Edmonton’s finest sidemen and fronted by singer Dana Wylie, already known for her country and folk songwriting prowess (and fresh off of a great LP of country duets with Cups N Cakes favourite Sammy Volkov). We’re pleased to premiere the very first song from the band, “Eight of Spades”, the lead single from their debut album Answer the Call, coming this October.

The song was captured live off the floor at Riverdale Recorders by the band’s bassist Harry Gregg, and has all the energy you’d expect from nine of Edmonton’s best players jamming out in the room together. Gregg’s bass playing strikes a perfect balance between being melodically interesting and structurally sound, while drummer Jamie Cooper holds things down with an irresistibly tasteful groove. The real star of the show, though, is Wylie; she sounds like she was born to sing these kinds of tunes, and the all-star band understands exactly how flashy they can be without distracting from Wylie’s stunner of a performance, while still rewarding those of us who want to listen for the ear candy (of which there is plenty).

Zsela has been riding a unique wave for the past few years, unspooling immaculately crafted, heart-on-sleeve R&B that drips with feeling. With the arrival of her long-awaited debut album, Big For You, out now via Mexican Summer, she’s doubling down on all of the experimental charm that makes her music so magnetic. “At the heart, it touches on the causal versus intentional dance we play between being ‘full of you’ and ‘full for you’ — the complexity and magnitude of the space we take and fill up for love,” Zsela says of the title. Floating between grandness and vulnerability throughout its 10 tracks, Zsela notes that it was essential for her to “stay open” during the album’s creation, digging for a deeper truth of what the songs needed to be. With the help of producers Daniel Aged (Frank Ocean, Kelela) and Gabe Wax (The War On Drugs, Soccer Mommy), it’s clear that she found it.

This song is like home. I’ve been rinsing “Ver. 1” over the past few years and did not know “Ver. 2” existed. It has a whole second life now. This song has gotten me through a lot of grief and deep catharsis every time.

Mary Margaret O’Hara – “Body’s In Trouble”

Forever a Miss America fan.

Luther Vandross – “A House Is Not A Home” (Live at the NAACP Awards, 1988) 

This song was our light in the studio, and it was our homework to learn every word — for our health. This performance lives rent-free in my brain. Good morning, good evening, good afternoon, hello, bye-bye baby.

Tomorrowland will invite a roster of young DJs to showcase their skills at Tomorrowland Belgium next month in collaboration with the Tomorrowland Academy.

Seven DJs ranging from 9 to 17 years old will have the opportunity to perform on several of Tomorrowland’s 16 total stages, including Atmosphere, Rise, House of Fortune and the Rose Garden. Performances will be split across both weekends of the festival, July 19-21 and July 26-28.

The youngest talents on the bill include 9-year-old drum & bass selector DJ Archie, who became the youngest-ever performer at Glastonbury last year, and 14-year-old progressive house performer DJ Daan, who will return to play Tomorrowland for a second consecutive year after opening the festival’s Rise stage alongside Dimitri Vegas in 2023.

Launched in 2022, the Tomorrowland Academy, the festival’s DJ and music production school for kids, teens and adults alike, comprises two locations in Antwerp and Hasselt, Belgium. These flagship schools organize educational bootcamps throughout the year and on-site at the festival in an effort to inspire young and rising talents to produce, release, and perform music.

Earlier this year, Tomorrowland also launched the Online Tomorrowland DJ & Producing Academy, offering subscription-based online courses, masterclasses, Q&A’s live feedback, DJ competitions, and more.

In the build-up to Tomorrowland Belgium 2024, the Tomorrowland Academy will host a “Start to DJ Kids Camp” from July 8-12, giving kids and teenagers aged 8 to 16 professional mentorship in week-long workshops at Boom, Belgium’s Den Oven events space, located just 200 meters from the festival site at De Shorre Park.

After the bootcamp, the participating kids and teenagers will have the unique chance to perform at Tomorrowland’s Neighborhood Part on July 24.

Tomorrowland Belgium will return to Boom’s De Schorre Park this July 19-21 and July 26-28, with Armin van Buuren, Swedish House Mafia, Amelie Lens, Tale Of Us, Alok, Dom Dolla, John Summit, David Guetta, Tiësto, Afrojack, Vintage Culture and hundreds more.
