About Meecah –

Meecah is a quintessential New York City powerhouse: a vocalist, songwriter, and performer whose dynamic stage presence and soul-stirring voice leave an indelible mark on every audience.

While she’s captivated countless fans in leading roles for acclaimed musical theater productions like the Tony Award-winning Hamilton, The Harder They Come, and The Wiz Revival Workshop (earning her an Audelco Award nomination in 2023), her artistry extends far beyond the stage.

Meecah has graced iconic venues including Radio City Music Hall, Barclays Center, and 54 Below, solidifying her reputation as a must-see live performer. A testament to her burgeoning impact, she achieved a significant career milestone in November 2024 by selling out her debut headline show at Joe’s Pub at The Public Theater. With over 140,000 streams and a loyal online community exceeding 15,000 followers, Meecah is a rapidly rising star in the music industry.

A proud South Florida native, Meecah’s sound is an unmistakable blend of soulful R&B infused with vibrant ’80s pop influences, drawing comparisons to legends like Whitney Houston, Beyoncé, and Bruno Mars.

This unique sonic tapestry will be fully unveiled in 2025 with the release of her highly anticipated debut EP, For Your Love. This six-track project promises a modern take on timeless music, featuring powerful ballads, infectious pop hooks, and lush R&B melodies, inviting listeners to join her ever-growing “Mango” fanbase.

Beyond her remarkable musical talents, Meecah is a deeply authentic individual with a profound commitment to holistic wellness and ethical living. An ethical vegan who painstakingly seeks transparency in the lineage and humane treatment of animals, she thrives on re-creating her cultural meals with vegan, gluten-free, and soy-free ingredients.

Her passion extends to educating and influencing communities that may be unfamiliar with conscious living, advocating for a deeper understanding of nutrition and environmental impact.

A lover of the ocean and an avid surfer, she embodies the spirit of a Floridian, even after more than a decade in NYC. Meecah is fiercely determined, approaching goals with an unwavering resolve and a refusal to take “no” for an answer, always navigating an ethical path. Coming from a long line of entrepreneurs, she has consciously cultivated humility, balancing her innate drive with a deep appreciation for collaborative spirit.

For Meecah, family is paramount, and being truly seen for who you are is the ultimate form of connection. While she appreciates the clarity that labels and definitions can bring, as an artist, she finds them—much like restrictive clothing—to be suffocating, embracing the boundless nature of her creativity.

Her once-in-a-generation work ethic is fueled by her unique life experiences, including being raised by a community and surviving abuse, which has instilled in her a profound capacity for love and an inherent desire to understand the “why” behind human behavior. She values safety and protection above all and confidently asserts that she is unlimited in what she can achieve.

Meecah is more than an artist; she is a powerful voice for wellness, authenticity, and profound human connection.

Joris Voorn’s Serotonin, the Album That Shaped the Summer

This summer belonged to Joris Voorn’s fifth artist album, Serotonin, a release that reminded us how electronic music can be more than peak-time firepower. Twenty years after his debut, Voorn set aside the big-room drama to give us something more personal, more delicate, and ultimately more lasting: a melodic experience filled with intimacy, strong vocal touches, and heartfelt emotions.

Serotonin stood out because it wasn’t just another collection of club weapons. It was storytelling through sound, a record that flowed between tender reflections and dancefloor-ready moments, all tied together with Voorn’s unmistakable craftsmanship. Across its thirteen tracks, he built a narrative that touched on memory, connection, and even loss, paying an emotional tribute to his father while still delivering the lightness and groove fans love.

Tracks like Session One and Moon carried a reflective, almost nostalgic weight, while the lead single You & I became one of the summer’s most emotive dance anthems. Much like the chemical it’s named after, Serotonin gave us sparkles of happiness, but also the comfort to process life’s more difficult emotions.

Whether you played it on a packed dancefloor or streamed it during a quiet night at home, Serotonin proved to be the soundtrack of the season, a perfect balance between the heartfelt and the hedonistic.

One of the most moving parts of the album is its origin story. Joris shared:

“I recorded this video on March 14, 2022, at my parental home in Moergestel, The Netherlands, in my father’s study where he used to compose his music. I stationed myself in the house for a few days, to write and record some music in memory of my father. Soon after, the house was sold. This is the first piece of music I wrote and performed in this space. It later became the opening track of my Serotonin album.”

With its deeply personal roots, Serotonin transcends the dancefloor and proves that music can take you on an incredible journey of emotions.

If this gem slipped past you, grab your chance to experience Serotonin now!
