We’ve come to learn that American singer and songwriter PawPaw Rod’s name has become synonymous with artistic excellence.

The acclaimed musician’s latest offering, ‘Shadow’, is an introspective piece of music that effortlessly blends indie with smoky funk tones and retro-tinged soul. Speaking on the new single, PawPaw Rod explains:

“‘Shadow’ is about wanting to know more about yourself. Your shadow is like your inner child, and part of getting older is acknowledging that part of you and allowing it to exist within you. You can’t be afraid of your own shadow – you have to embrace it wholeheartedly.”

The artist will shortly embark on a massive North American tour that culminates in San Francisco in November. Dates and locations are listed here, although fans across the globe can still enjoy the singer’s catalogue of songs on Spotify.

DDG has issued a response for the critics who voiced their opinions about his decision to give his six-month-old son with Halle Bailey a lineup.

San Francisco event series Texture Summit will celebrate its fifth anniversary this Saturday, July 13.

Texture Summit was launched in 2019 as an avenue to provide “beautiful, immersive experiences of art and music that bring community together.”

With a focus on local US talent, Texture Summit‘s events have hosted Sunset Soundsystem’s Solar and Galen, Carlos Suffront, Eric Cloutier, Liquid Earth, Huerta, Zacky, and Texture Summit founder, Louiv, among others. Recent international headliners have included Move D, Truly Madly, Velasco, Bruno Schmidt, and Dr Banana.

The fifth anniversary will be held at Heron Arts gallery, running from 9pm until 4am.

Staying true to its roots, Denver DJ Poten is set to headline the event alongside San Francisco legend C.L.A.W.S., with support from Louiv, Zacky, Philco, and Combover. The space will feature art installations by Casey Curran and live visuals from Mutek SF alumni Loaf Baker.
