Watch: Tedeschi Trucks Band Join The Black Crowes at the Hollywood Bowl

The Black Crowes and Tedeschi Trucks Band are both out on the road continuing their summer tours. Last evening their itineraries aligned for a gig at the Hollywood Bowl. Whiskey Myers, opened the evening, followed by TTB and the Crowes.

TTB’s set opened with a cover of the blues staple “Got My Mojo Workin’.” Then the group offered up “Do I Look Worried” from 2013’s Made Up Mind, followed by “Who Am I” and “Hero” from 2026’s Future Soul. The Let Me Get By (2016) track “I Want More” came next and led into a cover of Frank Zappa’s “Willie the Pimp.” Other highlights included a version of “Bound for Glory” from the group’s debut Revelator (2011), as well as a sequence that moved from a jam featuring sax player Kebbi Williams and drummer Isaac Eady, which moved into Dr. John’s “I Walk on Guilded Splinters,” then Jeff Beck’s “Beck’s Bolero.”

The Black Crowes opened with their classic “Remedy,” which they juxtaposed with “It’s Like That” from their new album A Pound of Feathers. The remainder of their set spanned the group’s career including “Jealous Again,” “Lay It All On Me,”  “Thorn In My Pride,” “Soul Singing,” “She Talks To Angels” and “Twice As Hard.”

Umphrey’s McGee Confirm Details for Interactive UMBowl XII

Back in June, Umphrey’s McGee announced that UMBowl XII would take place somewhere in the Midwest on October 9 and 10. The group has now confirmed the locale of the two-day event.  Milwaukee Pabst Theater will host the special participatory performances, with tickets on sale Friday at 10 AM.

As the band explains, “At UMbowl, YOU help shape the show in real time through audience voting and participation, choosing unique thematic sets like ‘Choose Your Own Adventure,’ fan-voted setlists, deep cuts, and original film scoring.”

Neil Young and the Chrome Hearts Will Return to the Stage for Co-Bills with Willie Nelson & Family

Back in February, Neil Young cancelled his summer European tour with the Chrome Hearts. At that time he indicated, “Everything is OK. Just needed a break. Listening to my body.” His only confirmed gig had been Farm Aid on September 26. However, more recently, in the days leading g up to the September 18 release of Second Song, his sophomore release with the Chrome Hearts he has intimated that some additional dates were in the offing.

Two performance have now been confirmed on bills with Willlie Nelson. Neil Young and the Chrome Heart and Willie Nelson & Family will share a co-bill at Bridgeport’s Hartford HealthCare Amphitheater on Tuesday, Sept. 22. Then, two days later the groups also will appear at TD Pavilion at Highmark Mann. These gigs will precede Farm Aid 2026 which is set to take place on September 26 at Veterans United Home Loans Amphitheater in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

Last week Young shared the title track to Second Song, which is now available for pre-order.
