Borna Libertines’(@borna_libertines) 120h to Tokyo plays like a record built from movement: airport arrival, train platforms, convenience-store loops, jazz bars, izakaya nights, small techno rooms, and the strange emotional compression that happens when a city only fully reveals itself once you know you have to leave. Released back on July 1, 2026, the eight-track album […]

“The song just makes me feel grateful to be alive”

St. Paul & The Broken Bones have just announced that they will follow up their eponymous studio record with a new four-song release. Proxy will be issued on September 18th via Oasis Pizza Records. The band’s namesake, Paul Janeway, notes, ““The best part of releasing this music is it gets to find its place in the world. I think this is a really strong collection of songs. Obviously, there are only four songs, but they carry the same weight as songs on a full album. Each song carries its own story. I am really proud of this collection, and I hope they get to be a part of flashbulb memories for those that hear them.”

Last month the band shared “Mess I Made” from Proxy. Today the group offers up “Loving Wrong.” Janeway says of this tune: “The wonderful part of this song is it sounds like a standard 6/8 ballad but then it takes a turn at the outro that makes for a really beautiful epic moment. I think this band does ballads really well. There are the general catch all lyrics about lost love that could be sung by anyone who has gone through heart ache.” “Loving Wrong” can be heard here.

Proxy is available for pre-save. A limited 10” vinyl of Proxy will be available in the US exclusively through Rough Trade on October 9th and can be pre-ordered here.

The independent singer-songwriter’s new single is out now, and it takes a bright 80s synth-pop setting, fills it with coastal motion, then threads something more uneasy underneath. Produced by Grammy-winning Tristan Boston, the track uses retro synth tones, driving […]
