Rebecca Sharon Named Partner and Managing Director at Obsessed Media

Obsessed Media has named Rebecca Sharon Partner and Managing Director, strengthening its leadership team as the company enters its next phase of growth.

As a partner in the business, Sharon will work alongside founders Barry Dan, CEO and Danny Weisman, Chief Media Officer to help scale Obsessed Media while protecting the foundation of its model: giving clients direct access to senior, unbiased strategic advisers. Her role will be to build the systems and structure that allow the agency to grow without adding layers between clients and experienced counsel—or compromising the independence that keeps its recommendations focused on what will work best for the client.

The appointment comes amid rapid growth for Obsessed Media, which launched in April 2025. In just over a year, the agency has grown from two founders to a team of nine and built a roster of 16+ clients, including Hinge, Midi Health, Meow Wolf, Acorns, Navan, New York Redbulls, and Paze. Many relationships have also expanded from initial audits or strategic projects into broader, long-term engagements. 

As part of the leadership team, Sharon will lead new business, internal operations and client satisfaction—shaping which opportunities the agency pursues and how it wins them as it expands beyond largely word-of-mouth growth, overseeing the team and operating systems behind the work, and maintaining the quality of both the work and the client experience. Barry Dan and Danny Weisman will continue to lead the strategic media thinking and counsel at the center of Obsessed Media’s client work.

“Growth has been happening to us, which is a great problem to have, but we wanted to be more intentional about where we go from here,” said Barry Dan, co-founder and CEO of Obsessed Media. “Rebecca brings the experience to build for growth along with a deep understanding of the media landscape, which means she can help us grow the business while keeping that growth connected to why we started Obsessed in the first place.”

For everyone else, it just doesn’t work,” said Sharon. “I joined Obsessed Media because it’s built for growth-stage brands that need a media partner focused on their business problems and real business outcomes—not just throwing more media at it.”

Sharon brings extensive agency and brand experience to Obsessed Media. Most recently at Noble People, she grew her work with Coca-Cola from Honest Tea into a broader portfolio that included Peace Tea, ZICO, Dunkin’ RTD and Minute Maid Spiked, while also leading work for clients including Nickelodeon, Glossier, PayPal, Splunk and CrowdStrike. She began her career at Wieden+Kennedy New York, working with ABC Entertainment across communications, media and account management.
