While all albums capture a moment in time, on occasion they also coincide with a resonant and revelatory experience outside the recording space.
Such a situation can supply a musician with heightened acuity and awareness that informs and inspires the matter at hand.
Of course that’s all well and good but at times even the best of intentions can fall flat.
Thankfully, Maggie Rose’s new album Half Moon, which is deeply entwined with the birth of her first child, is an elevated and enlightening artistic expression.
