Very soon we’ll anointed with the knowledge of who all’s playing this year’s Féile na Gréine – the annual, volunteer-run Limerick festival that is right up there with the finest, supremely curated expressions of our world-beating, island-wide DIY community. Ahead of that, organisers have announced details of a couple of fundraiser gigs for this festival, set to take over Dublin and Limerick next week. With money raised at both going into funding this year’s festival, which takes over Limerick City form 23-25th August, Crowbar in Dublin will bring together Post Punk Podge & The Technohippies, Nashpaints and Aoife Wolf on Thursday, 25th July. Doors are at 7pm and tickets are here. Meanwhile, beloved Limerick haven Pharmacia plays host to DOGWIN!, Casavettes, Péist, and Theatre. Doors are 8pm and tickets are right here. Co-organiser Graham Patterson said: “Féile na Gréine is volunteer-led, and funding this type of festival every year is a challenge. These types of fundraising events are always vital in allowing us to host a festival, and pay all of the artists.” Follow Féile na Gréine on Instagram and keep them peeled for who’s lining up for this year’s highly-anticipated 2024 edition.
