Stray Kids have released the music video for their new single, ‘Chk Chk Boom’, starring Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds.

The music video for Stray Kids’ ‘Chk Chk Boom’ is bookedned with Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds playing their Marvel characters, Wolverine and Deadpool, who are also co-anchoring a cable news network programme.
Between the comedic skits, the K-pop boyband perform their bombastic new single on rooftop sets and along city streets. “Boom, vamos, I know that you want it / Boom, lobos, we cannot stop hunting / Boom, ratatata, I’mma make it / Boom, boom, chk chk boom,” they sing on the song’s chorus.
‘Chk Chk Boom’ is the lead single of Stray Kids’ new mini-album, ‘ATE’, which was also released today (July 19). The boyband have also announced an upcoming 2024 to 2025 world tour called ‘dominATE’ in support of the new project, featuring concerts in Asia, Europe, North America and more.
‘ATE’ is Stray Kids’ second release of 2024, following their English single ‘Lose My Breath’ with Charlie Puth. Speaking to NME about the song, group leader Bang Chan said that the single “is just one of those songs where we could show a different side of Stray Kids”.
Stray Kids are also set to contribute an original song called ‘Slash’ to the soundtrack for the upcoming Marvel film, Deadpool & Wolverine, out later this month. The record will also feature hits from *NSYNC (‘Bye Bye Bye’), Fergie (‘Glamorous’), the Goo Goo Dolls (‘Iris’) and more.
