Runaway Gin to Honor The Clifford Ball’s 30th Anniversary with The Crystal Ball

This weekend marks the 30th anniversary of Phish’s Clifford Ball. The multi-day event, which took place at the former Plattsburgh Air Force Base in Plattsburgh, NY on August 16 and 17, boasted seven sets of Phish, including a bonus late-night performance on a flatbed truck, as well as an on-stage classical combo and cameos from Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield. Named after aviation pioneer Clifford Ball, the event was Phish’s first large-scale campout and is credited with helping revive the standalone summer music festival in America.

Now, next month, Phish tribute act Runaway Gin will celebrate Clifford Ball’s milestone anniversary with The Crystal Ball. The two-stage gathering will take place at Harmony, NC’s Van Hoy Farms Campground on September 26, featuring three sets of Runaway Gin, as well as performances by Sneezy, Machine Funk duo and several other acts.

The Crystal Ball has been described as a “wizarding-themed gathering where attendees are encouraged to dress in costume.” Van Hoy Farms Campground also offers RV hookups, a swimming pool and other outdoor activities.
